In fact, the structure of the shrine itself is valuable, with a unique architectural style called ``Ikutama-zukuri.'' This architectural style, considered a relic of the magnificent Momoyama culture, can be seen on the roof of the main shrine.

Hongu Shrine July 12th
One of Osaka's three major summer festivals, Yoimiya features a parade of taiko drums, lion dances, and portable shrines. At the main shrine, 500 servants and horse-drawn carriages dressed in festival costumes parade to Osaka Castle. There will also be food stalls and taiko drum parades on both days.
Osaka Takigi Noh
August 11th August 12th
This is based on the story of a grand dedication of Noh in 1546,
before Osaka Castle was built.
You can watch Noh on both
days for a fee.

感想
The grounds are rich in nature, and you can feel the atmosphere from the water flow. Also, at the summer festival, the many food stalls and festival drums lining the approach to the shrine gave a lively, summer-like feel to it, making it a lot of fun.
